We took the boys to see Santa Clause this past week. They both did really well. Brody even told him that he wanted toys and money for christmas. Here is all of us in front us some of the oversized toys they have at Metropolis. If you haven't been there around christmas time you should go it is really pretty and the Santa is really cool. Brody loved the first snow we had. Here he is playing outside at my mom and dads. I didn't think we would be able to get him back inside.
Brody has really been into coloring lately. Except he thinks it is necessary to smell the markers so then he gets it all over his face. I think he has figured out that if he makes a mess he gets to play in the bathtub.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was very busy but good. As you can see this is what Brody did to get ready for the big day. Just remember a little bubbles goes a long way. Here is Brody with his second cousin Olivia. She is only a week younger than him but look how tall she is. Here is Beckett having fun spending some quality time with Aunt Bea. I think Brody had more fun playing outside with Carmen. But he got to cold so he had to come join the family. Brody wanted to help put ornaments on one of our christmas trees. I really don't know how much help he was, but he tried.
Brody has is first trip to the dentist today. I took him to Dr. Hennette's office in Greencastle since he specializes in kids. Brody did so good and didn't seem to mind that they were cleaning his teeth. Dr. John said his teeth looked really good, and he said he would like to had a video of Brody for all of the other kids to watch so they would be that good. So I was very proud of him. I took this picture of him in the big chair but he didn't get to sit in it. They said for his age it is easier for them to lay in their lap, so that is what he got to do.

In the last couple of weeks Beckett has started sitting up on his own. He is growing up way to fast. It seems like it goes by quicker the second time around. This past Saturday Beckett and I went to a baby shower for our friend Shannon, and then after the shower was over the guys came over for dinner. Brody had a lot fun playing with Susan, probably because she kept giving him candy. But I am sure he would have had fun with her anyway. Brody also got to play with his friend Sam who he hasn't seen in a while. They had fun running around playing with balloons, coloring, and playing pac-man out in the garage. He hopes to play with Sam again soon. Since Beckett got to go to the shower with me, I dressed him all up. I got him this shirt that had a tie on it and everyone thought is was so funny. But I thought he looked very handsome.
Since we have started puting Beckett in the jumperoo he has loved it. He would sit in there for hours if we would let him and just bounce. Last night I think he was so tired that he was going to bounce himself to sleep.
Happy Halloween from all of the Braegers! Beckett dressed up as a tiger for Halloween and loved scaring everyone away! Brody was a dragon...very scary, don't you think? Both of the boys had a great time going door to door! Beckett had so much fun, he was knocked out as soon as we got home!
I took the boys for their 6 month and 2 year checkups on Tuesday. The doctor said they are both very healthy. Beckett had to get 4 shots and Brody got 1, because I went ahead and got them both flu shots. Brody didn't even cry so the nurse gave him 2 stickers for doing so good. It took Beckett three shots for him to cry. The nurse said we must raise some tough boys. Below is what their heigh and weight was.
Beckett wt. 20lbs 10oz ht. 26in long 90% in both
Brody wt. 25lbs 8oz ht. 34 in 17% in weight
As you can see it is not going to be long and Beckett is going to out
The other night after it stormed the sun came out so I went out and took some pictures because the colors where so pretty, and this was how they turned out.
Need a Hairstylist?I bet you can't guess who gave Brody his bath this night? I made brownies the other night and I let Brody lick the bowl out. You can tell how much he liked it. But what you don't see is that my mouth probably looked the same because I was helping him lick it!
I took Beckett last week to get his 6 month pictures. He did so good and smiled all of the time. I didn't know if Brody would get his pictures taken because the last couple of times he wasn't in the mood for it. We did get a couple of good shots with both of them and them by theirselves. So I was happy with how they turned out.
My cousin Carmen came over on Friday to watch the boys and she brought over Brody's new friend Mason to play. Toby unhooked the battery in Brody's car so they weren't able to drive anywhere, they just had to look good sitting in it. This must be what they do to Beckett when I am not home. They think he is one of the toys, but he doesn't seem to mind.
I took this picture of Brody because he is obsessed with the towel for my hair. Toby and I thought it was so funny, and he said that he looked like a genie in a bottle. Brody will probably kill me one day for posting this picture on here.
Beckett was playing on the floor and when I checked on him this is what he looked like. Here is our big 19lb. 6 month old. First time eating peaches, he wasn't very fond of them. I gave him a sippy cup for the first time. He first just wanted to chew on it then he figured it out
This was Toby's last time having fun on the lake for this summer. He decided to go out one last time before he goes in to have back surgery on the 16th. Hopefully next summer he can go out and do this stuff and have no pain.
The last couple of days all Brody wants to do is chase Bella around. Normally she does not want anything to do with him, but for some reason she was letting him do whatever he wanted to her. Which I don't think she liked to much, but you can see he could not give her enough kisses.Brody made a new friend last weekend. My cousin came over to watch Brody and she brought her friends son Mason. I think they had a lot of fun running around the house, playing with cars, and watch Bob Bob or Toons, as Brody calls them.
I cannot believe that it has already been two years since Brody was born. Time goes by so fast. We had his birthday party on Sunday and he got a lot of cool things. We got him a power wheels mustang, but he hasn't figured out how to do the gas pedal yet. But when he does I am sure we are going to be chasing him around. Happy Birthday to our baby! (I guess he is not my baby anymore).
This was the first time I gave Beckett cereal off of a spoon. He seemed to like it at first but then I think I was getting more on his face then in his mouth.
Brody was so wore out by the end of the day he fell asleep when we were eating dinner.
This was the first time we put Beckett in the lake. He didn't like it at first but I think it was because the water was so cold. After that he didn't seem to mind it.
One of Brody's favorite things to do is swing. So we decided to put Beckett in there with him and they both liked that, but it didn't last to long and then Brody wanted him out.
