Family Vacation!

We had or first official family vacation in Siesta Key, Florida.
We thought the boys did well flying on the plane. Brody wanted
to talk loudly and complained a couple of times that his ears were
hurting but we made it. The boys loved playing on the beach.
Brody could have spent all day there if we would have let him.
We had to keep Beckett's pacifier in his mouth when he was down
because he thought that the sand needed to go in his mouth.

We did a lot of fun things and ate at a lot of great places while we
there. Toby, Brody and I all got that 24 hr. flu about 12 hrs
apart so that was kinda a bummer and it really screwed up my tan
(ha, ha)! We rented a pontoon boat for half the day and took it out
on the Bay, so that made us feel like we were back home and
everyone really enjoyed it.

Toby got to spend most of his time helping Brody build sand piles
and sand holes. Brody really enjoyed having Jason, Kristin and
Conner there. We didn't really exist when they were around
because he wanted to be with them, but didn't understand why
he couldn't give Conner kisses anymore when he was sick.

So I am glad to say our vacation was a success and I am glad we
all got to go together, since we had a great time.

Beckett's 1st Birthday Party

I can't believe how fast a year has gone by. I had to put the first picture up to remember how little he once was and it was only a year ago. We had Beckett's 1st birthday party this past Sunday even though his birthday isn't until the 19th, but we will be leaving that day to go to Florida for a much needed vacation.

Beckett enjoyed checking out all of his new toys and Brody enjoyed stealing them and playing with them.
Even though he is a big eater he wasn't so sure what to so with his cake. He liked playing with it in his hands but I think he did get a couple of bites in there. So we hope to have a great trip and hope to have some good pictures to show of the boys when we get back.
